Southside get back to winning ways

Southside FC returned to winning ways in style on Saturday evening, dispatching the Antioch Rangers 6–2 in front of a buzzing home crowd.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading early penalties and converting from the spot. Just as it seemed the sides would head into the break level, Matt Blalock delivered a moment of brilliance—striking a thunderous half-volley from 25 yards out that soared into the net seconds before the halftime whistle.

That momentum carried into the second half as Southside came out aggressive and found their third goal early. Antioch responded quickly with their second of the night—an absolute stunner that drew applause even from the home fans—but it would be their last.

The match took a decisive turn when Antioch went down to ten men following a DOGSO red card. Sabino stepped up and made them pay, curling in a beautiful free kick to make it 4–2. Southside never looked back, adding two more goals late to seal a dominant performance.

It was a statement win for the club as they continue to push forward in the league campaign.
